Did you know? The coral scene in Hong Kong is truly remarkable, boasting as many as 84 types of stony corals, surpassing even the Caribbean Sea in terms of variety. Unfortunately, the marine ecosystem in Hong Kong is currently facing numerous threats, resulting in a significant decline of up to 80% in coral coverage in areas like Tolo Harbour and Chek Lap Kok since the 1980s.
Thankfully, on Flag Day, June 24th, AGBA joined forces with WWF to make a considerable impact. Our volunteer team participated in this campaign, raising awareness and funds to protect the beautiful coral communities. Thanks to everyone’s contributions, we can now look forward to a future where coral communities thrive and enhance the marine ecosystem.
